Mike and Marie purchased the Westby House Inn in 1999 and are excited to be continuing the legacy of offering the right levels of history, comfort, and hospitality of this once private home.

With Marie’s career of 20 plus years in the hotel and restaurant hospitality industry starting in Wisconsin and continuing in Memphis, Tennessee, along with Mike’s 30 plus years of working across the country in sales and marketing for several national food manufacturers; it was time for a change. They were ready to put their talents and business savvy on display by becoming innkeepers of the Westby House Inn.

After Marie’s first stay at a B&B in the Smokey Mountains, she dreamed of owning one someday. She wanted it to be in her home State of Wisconsin; to get her back home closer to family. For Mike, it had been decades since moving from his home State of Illinois to much warmer temperatures in Arizona and the thought of returning to Midwest winters literary gave him the chills. After much discussion and debate they decided it was time for the merging of careers and started the search for a bed and breakfast in Wisconsin. They looked at many B&B’s across the State and from the first sight of this established Inn, they knew the dream was going to become a reality. The vision and expectations set out then were met and still continues today with their attention to details, updates, and service at the Westby House Inn!
