Westby is located on the ridge between the Mississippi River’s Coulee Region and the Kickapoo River Valley. At the intersection on Highways 14, 61, and 27. Westby is a short drive from La Crosse or Sparta, 6 miles north of Viroqua Wisconsin, only 88 miles north of Dubuque, 1 hour and 35 minutes from Madison, and 4 hours from Chicago. Ride the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail, canoe the Kickapoo River or explore the Amish community in Cashton, and easy to get to by a wonderful 20-minute country drive through the Driftless Area of Southwest Wisconsin. Important Arrival Information
The Westby House is located 1/4 block west of the intersection of Main St. and W. State St. in downtown Westby. Main Street is also State Highways 27 and 14/61, which travel through the city. Once you have made your turn onto W. State St., turn right at the next corner (Ramsland St.) and enter the properties parking lot. To enter the inn, from the parking lot, proceed to the walk-up ramp on the North side of the inn. Registration is the oval glass door at the top of the walk-up ramp. If door is locked, announce your arrival by using the phone to the right of the door. When we answer, let us know you are here. We look forward to greeting you.
