New Cross Country Ski Trail Now Open in Westby

The owner of Mt. Boriah Designs, a bicycle apparel manufacturer,  and the Snowflake Ski Club has brought cross country skiing to the Snowflake Ski Club of Westby Wisconsin.  The one-kilometer man-made track runs through the golf course  of  Timber Coulee, which is  just 5 miles from the Westby House Bed and Breakfast.  Chris Jackson started the Snowflake Nordic Ski Club  by creating a program for youngsters of the community.  Registration day flourished with an unpredictable  forty kids for the classes.  The trail is open to the public, and you need to provide your own equipment.  Cross country skiing is fun and easy to learn.

with the tapping of maple trees and an organic pancake breakfast. Watch and participate in demonstrations about blacksmithing, spinning, and folk medicine put on by The Driftless Folk. There will also be children’s crafts and live music all day long. Explore Norskedalen by snowshoe or horse drawn carriage rides.
