New Cross Country Ski Trail Now Open in Westby

The owner of Mt. Boriah Designs, a bicycle apparel manufacturer,  and the Snowflake Ski Club has brought cross country skiing to the Snowflake Ski Club of Westby Wisconsin.  The one-kilometer man-made track runs through the golf course  of  Timber Coulee, which is  just 5 miles from the Westby House Bed and Breakfast.  Chris Jackson started the Snowflake Nordic Ski Club  by creating a program for youngsters of the community.  Registration day flourished with an unpredictable  forty kids for the classes.  The trail is open to the public, and you need to provide your own equipment.  Cross country skiing is fun and easy to learn.

Ski & Stay at Westby House

Your Wisconsin weekend escape is in the heart of Southwest Wisconsin. Located to the South of La Crosse, Wisconsin and only 23 miles Northwest of Westby, Mount La Crosse has the biggest drop from top to bottom among ski hills in a 119 mile radius. All of the 4 different ski lifts are in perfect shape. Mount La Crosse has a fairly small diversity of ski runs and a small amount of ski lifts. There’s 100 acres of skiable terrain, and it’s all in delightful condition. Mount La Crosse has a much higher than average percentage of black and red slopes.  This is a popular ski mountain for skiers from La Crosse. Getting a bit of good exercise and a chance to spend some time in nature have snow people coming here.  Plan your ski vacation to Southwest Wisconsin with a stay at the Westby House Victorian Inn.
